Heimat is an artistic research project, founded in 2019 by Jakob Van den Broucke en Kasper Demeulemeester. The publication ‘De Tocht’ is a collections of contributions of a broad group of artists that all reflect around the theme ‘Heimat’. All of the contributing artist and their works are linked to the Belgian/ Flemish region ‘de kempen’.
My contribution ‘Breadcrumb Trail’ consited of a 10 page image sequence of 16mm filmstills, shot by Grimm Vandekerckhove during the making of my shortfilm ‘All We Ever Wanted Was Everything’(2016). The images are combined with excerpts of the song ‘Breadcrumb Trail’ by Slint.
